About Us
The Adelaide Tongde Association was founded in May 2019. It is not only a traditional ethnic and affinity-based organization but also a comprehensive group that integrates academia, arts, education, and charity. The Adelaide Tongde Association not only preserves the role of traditional Chinese community organizations—providing mutual assistance, conducting charitable welfare projects, and organizing cultural and educational activities—but also places more emphasis on communicating economic and technological information, aligning with domestic and international trends to promote mutual development. Throughout its journey, the association is committed to promoting the concept of cooperation and win-win for world peace and friendship between China and other countries.
The association frequently organizes various activities for its members, such as economic, cultural, and educational investigations, seminars, and exchange events, thereby fostering close connections and enhanced cooperation among the members. The aim is to encourage overseas Chinese to inherit and promote Chinese cultural traditions. At the same time, the establishment of the Tongde Association also breaks down international boundaries, significantly strengthening solidarity between the organization and the local residents. With the theme of “Overseas Chinese helping each other, united in heart and virtue, together in Adelaide,” it highlights the global and regional significance of the Adelaide Tongde Association.

In early 2020, amidst the global pandemic, she made the bold decision to leave her job in real estate and take over the operation of the Adelaide branch of VisionPLUS Windows and Doors, a company I co-founded with a partner. She now serves as the General Manager of the Adelaide branch.
In 2020, she joined the TongDe Association. She said “I still remember leaving my hometown and arriving in a foreign city in 2003. Back then, there was no organization like TongDe Association to help international students like us. Many people ended up leaving as a result. Learning about TongDe Association and its role as a platform organization that assists international students, new immigrants, young individuals, employers, and hosts job guidance salons and various events truly moved and reassured me.”
To better support TongDe Association, she is dedicated to promoting it within the Chinese community and local society. She aims to uphold the association’s reputation, shoulder its responsibilities, seek employment opportunities, organize diverse multicultural events, foster effective communication with newcomers to Adelaide, and consolidate and provide resources to the association.
